Ever pulled a failing hard drive from a computer only to realize there were files on it you needed to access or delete? You need WiebeTech's ComboDock.

ComboDock allows you to attach a 3.5" IDE drive to your comptuer excternally through a FireWire 800 or 400 or USB port. The attached drive then functions as an external storage device, enabling you to copy, move or delete files as necessary.

Sized to fit a shirt pocket, the diminutive anodized aluminum ComboDock measures 4.2" x 1.0" x 2.2" and weighs just a few ounces. It comes with a leatherette case. Equipped with the latest OXUF922 Bridge and bundled with a FireWire cable, it sports two daisy-chainable FireWire 800/400 Mbps (megabits per second) ports, plus a USB2 port for hassle-free attachment to PCs, Macs, and Linux host computers. The bundled AC adapter accepts 100-240VAC so you can take it with you even when you travel outside the US. A power LED lets you know when the drive is connected to a live power source, and a power-on LED verifies that the power switch is turned on (or off). A self-aligning connector makes it easy to attach an IDE/ATA 3.5" drive. A red LED lets you know when information is being accessed from the connected drive.

After you power on the drive, it mounts automatically on the Macintosh desktop. On windows systems it appears as a drive option in My COmputer. No drivers are needed for use with Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, or XP, or Macintosh OS 9.1, OS 9.2, or OS X. ComboDock firmware even supports FireWire booting on Macs that support booting from external FireWire drives.
