For fastest speed and maximum performance, TrayDock eSATA is an uncontested workhorse. With its low cost, TrayDock eSATA is a perfect
addition to your computing arsenal for high-capacity computing tasks like editing uncompressed HDTV or other audio/video editing.
More SATA channels means more performance
Each disk in a TrayDock eSATA communicates on its own channel over its own SATA cable. This means that each drive can be accessed
at full speed even while other drives are being accessed.
Front accessible trays
The TrayDock eSATA comes with 2 or 4 reloadable, lockable drive trays, each holding a SATA drive. An individual external SATA port is
on the rear panel of each drive bay. The latch design gives you instant access to your drives from the front making it easy to load,
reload or replace hard disks at any time
A low cost RAID with super speeds
Configured as a 4 disk RAID, TrayDock eSATA has been
measured in excess of 225MB/s. Combined with WiebeTech's
popular G5Jam+, speeds can reach even higher, more than
enough for uncompressed 10bit 1080i video editing.
High data density
Due to its low cost, it will also be popular as a backup storage device. You'll also like the small footprint of the enclosure, especially
when you consider the vast amount of storage available in such a small amount of space.
eSATA for anyone
For users who do not yet have SATA ports on their computer, TrayDock eSATA is also available with a PCI card with plenty of SATA
ports. This hardware bundle makes it easy for anyone to connect TrayDock eSATA to their computer and begin to take advantage of the
amazing speed and reliability it has to offer.
TrayDock eSATA with PCI Card (PC version)
 The PC compatible PCI card with TrayDock is a 64-bit, 133MHz PCI-X (regular PCI compatible) card made for any PC with a free PCI-X or PCI slot running Windows 2000, XP or 2003 Server (drivers included). It has 4 external SATA ports for independent connections to each of the drives on the TrayDock eSATA. This PCI card provides hardware RAID capabilities (RAID 0 stripe/span, 1, 0+1, 5) and can easily be configured so that all data is safe and recoverable in the event of a drive failure.
Plug and Play
TrayDock eSATA works right out of the box with no new drivers needed. It works with any modern operating system
including Mac OS 9.1, 9.2, OS X and Windows 2K, XP, as well as any distribution of Linux that supports
FireWire or USB. If using FireWire, additional FireWire devices can be daisy-chained through TrayDock eSATA.
