Fourth Generation adds new features to quickly connect 3.5" IDE drives through FireWire 400/USB
More features for accessing bare IDE 3.5" drives!
FireWire DriveDock v4 is a perfect solution for anyone who deals with bare 3.5" IDE drives. It quickly attaches
drives via FireWire 400 or USB. Dual FireWire 400 ports allow daisy-chaining for more versatility. The FireWire
bridge chip is the new and improved 911+ from Oxford Semiconductor, and it's substantially faster than the older
911.
Treat it like any other drive
Generation 4 provides plenty of options. In addition to its bright new color, it has new power control features and
multiple powering options. Attach it to any IDE drive (or even a SATA drive, using an optional adapter). Power
it via a +12V adapter (included), or power it via a standard disk drive 4-pin molex power source. Because it's
based on the 911+, FireWire transfer rates are really fast.
Using it is easy!
Just connect the drive to the Dock, plug in power and attach a FireWire or USB cable to a host computer. That's
all it takes. For more protection to the drive, a mounting plate can be screwed onto the bottom of the drive to
protect the drive's circuitry.
Exclusive LED indicators
Generation 4 is loaded with indicators: FireWire attached, USB attached, +12V input jack active, disk drive
power input jack active and +5V/+12V out operational. It makes a technician's work much easier. These simple
features are immensely valuable when troubleshooting a drive. It even has an on/off switch for safe drive power
up and power down.
Rugged design, built to last
Grab it and go - Generation 4 is tough as nails and built to last. The small and rugged case is built from
aluminum for durability.
