Quickly Connect to Bare Drives
UltraDock v5 allows you to connect a bare hard drive to your computer quickly. Simply attach the drive to the Dock, attach the Dock to computer, and begin to access, set up, diagnose, or repair the drive.

Faster
With an upgraded chipset and faster host connections (USB 3.0, eSATA, and FireWire 800), UltraDock v5 is 24% faster than its predecessor, UltraDock v4. We clocked UltraDock v5 at 211.9 MB/s when used with a solid state drive connected over eSATA.
LCD screen and Menu
The LCD and menu system makes it convenient to view drive information, error/warning messages, or configure HPA/DCOs.
USB 3.0
USB 3.0 support is now available, along with eSATA and FireWire 800 ports.
Device Info/S.M.A.R.T.
Drive information is at your fingertips. Quickly access selected important S.M.A.R.T. data such as hours used, number of power cycles, and disk health. UltraDock v5 can also display the model and serial number reported by the drive's firmware.
HPA/DCO Tools
Detect, remove, create, or modify HPA and DCO areas on a drive. HPAs (Host Protected Areas) and DCOs (Device Configuration Overlays) are low level areas hidden from operating systems. Systems manufacturers use them for BIOS backups, which users may want to remove from a drive. Embedded systems programmers can now use UltraDock v5 to create useful HPA/DCO areas for their own use.

LED Indicators
Five status LEDs keep you informed of valid power in (from AC adapter), power out (to hard drive), warnings, disk access, and if a hidden area (HPA/DCO) is present.

Connect to more Drive Types
Need to access a non-standard drive? Use one of WiebeTech's own Combo Adapters to access 1.8" drives, notebook drives, drives found in iPods... almost any spinning disk. Combo Adapters work with several of our DriveDocks, including UltraDock.
Encrypt data to bare drives with Encryptor
Encryptor will encrypt and decrypt bare hard drives with strong, government-strength encryption. It uses the CRU encryption key, compatible with other CRU AES 256-bit products.
