Sorta Like Floppy Disks,

The great thing about floppies was certainly not the polite 1.4 MB of storage space... but do you remember when you could keep a pile of floppy disks hanging around, and pop one in whenever you need it? It's becoming more and more common to have piles of hard drives with data you need to access quickly.
The RTX line allows you to think about hard drives in an old way: Pop them in and access the contents without fussing with the enclosure or even a tray. With the RTX TrayFree™ technology, loading a SATA drive takes only a few seconds.

The RTX lineup features TrayFree bays that can handle 50,000+ drive insertions. This means you can treat Hard Drives the way you used to think about floppy disks: Pop one out, pop another in. Transporting and backing up files has never been easier.

The RTX bays are more rugged than ever. Featuring blue/red power/access LEDs and based off of the same TrayFree design as before, hardened bays sport 100% metal parts.
No trays, no screws - just insert the drive and close the door. The satisfying *click* will reassure you the drive has mounted correctly into its shock absorbing bay.

How to use RTX 100:
For increased Storage space:
Needed: At least 1 RTX unit and at least 1 drive. Pop a drive in and your computer will treat it as more storage space. Need more space? Use another disk - RTX is easily loadable and reloadable.
For Backup:
Needed: At least 1 RTX unit and at least 2 drives. Rotate a drive, copy files to it, and put the backup on a shelf - or transport it offsite for more security.
For Transportation:
Needed: At least 2 RTX units and at least 1 drive. Remove a drive from an RTX at work, school or home, take it to another computer and access all your files quickly.
Special bundle with four drives
To start you off on your gigabyte toting days, we've put together a bundle. It's the least expensive way to buy drives from WiebeTech. This bundle includes one RTX-100-Q (so you'll get an external enclosure with FireWire) and four hard drives. Think of them as amazingly large floppy disks! Use the RTX to store and backup all of your ever-growing data.
