How to recover data from a corrupt drive
  1. Prepare a backup drive to recover data to. Boot from this drive or the Data Rescue disk. The backup drive should be large enough to accommodate all of the data on the corrupt drive.
  2. Hook up the corrupt drive to your WiebeTech Dock.
  3. Run Prosoft Engineering's Data Rescue
  4. Recover your data to the backup drive.
Note: To prevent possible data loss Data Rescue should be used prior to using any repair utility. Because no data recovery software can work in all situations, the recovery success of Data Rescue will depend upon the condition of the drive and its data structure. Data Rescue can be used as an emergency CD as long as the host computer is operational.
