New Feature - HPA/DCO detection now included
Various software applications exist which allow a user to create or modify a Host Protected Area (HPA) or Device Configuration Overlay (DCO) table on a hard drive... read more.
New write-blocked access through USB or FireWire
Now WiebeTech's proprietary write-blocked technology offers easy
read-only access to suspect hard drives through USB as well as
FireWire 800 (400 compatible) for more versatility. Download and
image contents of a suspect drive without risk of data being
written back to the drive. Because it's based on the OXUF922 chip,
FireWire transfer rates are really fast. And it's fully compatible with
forensic acquisition and analysis software.
Even more LED indicators to monitor data transfer, including write-block feature
A new LED indicator assures you that write-block technology is
active and protecting the data. Generation 4 is loaded with other
indicators: FireWire attached, USB attached, +12V input jack
active, disk drive power input jack active and +5V/+12V output active.
Better power status system
Fourth Generation Forensic ComboDock gives you multiple powering options. Attach it to any IDE drive (or even SATA
drive, using an optional adapter). Power it via a +12V adapter (included) or via a standard disk drive 4-pin molex power
source. It even has an on/off switch for safe drive power up and power down and a switch guard to prevent accidentally
turning off the unit.
Easy to use!
Snap the suspect IDE drive into the Dock, plug in power and attach a FireWire or USB cable to a host computer. Then
download and image the entire contents to your computer. That's all it takes. Use an optional SATA adapter to access
SATA drives. The drive connector allows for automatic alignment and easy insertion. For more protection to the drive,
a mounting plate can be screwed onto the bottom of the drive to protect the drive's circuitry.
Rugged design, built to last
Grab it and go - Forensic ComboDock is tough as nails and made to last. The small and rugged case is constructed
from briefcase-tough aluminum for durability.
Connect even more types of drives with Combo Adapters
Use Forensic ComboDock in conjunction with our lineup of Combo Adapters and retrieve data on other drive types such
as 1.8" Toshiba (found in iPods), 1.8" Hitachi drives, MicroDrives (found in iPod mini), PCMCIA drives, 2.5" notebook
drives and SATA drives.
Molex Removal Tool - mrTool
Order code: MRTOOL

mrTool is a great companion for use with a ComboDock or Forensic ComboDock. Sold seperately.

Chain of Evidence
Forensic ComboDock is only write-blocked, and it it always write-blocked. Both ports (FireWire and USB) are NIST verified to be write-blocked. For an added level of confidence, our write-blocking technology also has an LED - so you know with a quick look that there's no chance of writing anything to the drive.
