WICHITA , KS – November 19, 2007 -- WiebeTech has introduced its most economical DriveDock yet! The USB DriveDock™ v4 allows users to easily access data directly from any of the four most common drive types, 2.5" and 3.5" SATA or IDE/PATA drives, making this WiebeTech's most versatile dock as well. Its single USB port allows attachment to all hosts including PCs, Macs and Linux.
The USB DriveDock (Part # USBDV4) retails for $49.95 and ships early December. The unit is available to order through WiebeTech resellers, or online at www.wiebetech.com.

The DriveDock line allows users to access data from almost any kind of bare hard drive by simply connecting the hard drive to the Dock, plugging in power and attaching the Dock to a computer.
The USB DriveDock has two options for power input: the included AC adapter or a 4-wire connector from the computer's power supply. A power status LED verifies that the unit is switched on or off. Another LED confirms that the Dock is accessing the drive, and another confirms that a valid USB connection is established.
WiebeTech's other DriveDocks include:
- ComboDock™ v4 to connect 3.5" IDE/PATA drives through FireWire 800/400 and USB2
- FireWire DriveDock™ v4 to connect 3.5" IDE/PATA drives through FireWire 400 and USB2
- Notebook DriveDock™ v4 to connect 2.5" IDE/PATA drives through FireWire 400 and USB2
- SATADock™ to connect SATA drives through FireWire 800/400 and USB2
Almost any other type of drive can be connected with WiebeTech's v4 Combo Adapters and a ComboDock v4.
