WiebeTech Introduces New Pocket Drive Enclosure with Quad Interface Connection

WICHITA, KS – May 23, 2007-- WiebeTech has added a new pocket drive to its lineup of portable enclosures. The ToughTech™ XE mini is the most portable quad-interface enclosure available. The eSATA and USB2 connections are combined into a single port to achieve its tiny size. ToughTech XE mini retail pricing starts at $119.95 empty, or holds up to a 160GB 2.5" SATA drive. It's available to ship June 1.
Like the popular ToughTech™ mini (TTM), the ToughTech™ XE mini (TTXEM) accepts any 2.5" SATA drive and has the fast Oxford 924 chipset for dual FireWire 800, FireWire 400 (using the included converter cable) and USB2 connection. However, the ToughTech XE mini features a combo eSATA/USB2 port capable of transfer speeds up to 150MB/s.

With four interfaces, users can attach it to practically any computer. WiebeTech also includes all cables necessary to plug and play with any of the four connection types right out of the box, plus an AC adapter. ToughTech XE mini is bootable in FireWire mode on any Mac or PC that supports this feature.
ToughTech XE mini also provides protection for the drive with ToughMount™ strips which are mounted between the drive and the enclosure to protect the drive from shock and reduce enclosure noise.
