The new gold standard
With a break-through discovery in storage technology, we now know that gold is useful for more than just rings or lavatories. The superior electrical conductance of gold allows for Direct Electron Management - in layman's terms, "data storage". Measured in "carat ounces" each ctOz in a gold hard drive equals almost 6GB. A 24 carat, 3.5 Oz HD holds 500GB.

24ct, 500GB Drive
|
Yes, gold prices are at an all time premium. But do you know what's worth more than $1100/ctOz on a "three nines fine" drive? The data that you store on your hard drive, of course. We could "simply encrypt" your drive, and give you a unique key, but that's not a solution for the owner of a solid gold hard drive. That owner needs more protection than the average computer-wielding bear. Our answer? ToughTech Fort Knox.
ToughTech Fort Knox offers quad connectivity to your computer, and a unique three phase authentication system.
We're confident you won't find anything else like it on the market.

Phase 1, Artifact Scanner

Pitfall for the original Nintendo Game Boy
|
You may be used to Hollywood movies, where the action star arrives with a sword found in a pyramid, and uses it as a key to fire up the denouement machine and save the day. Completely absurd, right? We can't expect every customer to find a pyramid sword. That's why ToughTech Fort Knox works with the arcane artifact of your choosing.
Here are some artifacts that you may choose to pair up with ToughTech Fort Knox's Rare Artifact Detector.
- Ancient Chachapoyan Fertility Idol
- Staff of Ra
- Fragment of the Declaration of Independence
- Dinosaur Teeth
- Meteor Rock
- Mummy finger
- Game Boy Cartridge
For demonstration, we paired a rare and ancient Nintendo Game Boy cartridge, known in its original culture as "Cavus Descendo," or "Pitfall". Rare enough and electronic enough to be plausible. We feel protected as the 8-bit crocodiles, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and bats lie in wait for would-be thieves.
|
Simply insert the artifact into the detector, and proceed to Login Phase 2.
Phase 2, RSA Key
Every 15 seconds, the included RSA dongle produces a triplet of two digit numbers. This time-based passcode, entered properly into a gym-locker style rotary interface, grants access to Login Phase 3.
Phase 3, Retinal Scanner
Finally, to unlock your data, you must validate your identity with a biometric retinal scanner. Look into the eyepiece, allow class 4 lasers to scan the back of your eyeball, and you're good to go. It couldn't be easier.
Tripping the Alarm
Arm the laser defense grid with the included remote for nighttime security.
Depending upon which upgrade packages you choose, ToughTech Fort Knox can call your bodyguard's cell phone, issue forth a barrage of tiny lights and sirens, or even release poisonous arrows, poison gas, or other ideas found in the "Diabolical Schemata for Supervillains" handbook.
